Things are lookin up

Yea! I finally got 10/10 on my pre-lab quiz. It's about time. I was gettin upset about getting 70% every week. Maybe things are lookin up.

Soooo, I'm sitting at home bc I decided to skip art history today. I decided to skip because A. I went to Bumpers with Becky last night and stayed out till almost 2:00 and I figured I could use the extra sleep bc B. I have to go directly from my genetics lab to an extra study lab for fishes. This means I probably wont get home till around 8:00 tonight. If I had gone to art history I would have had to have gotten up at 8:00. A twelve hour day just wasn't cuttin it for me, so instead, I got up around 9:00 and my day doesn't officialy start until I leave for class at 12:00. By skipping class, I cut 4 hours out of my work time. I know that sounds lazy, but to me it just seemed logical. Besides, I think I'm allowed 2 absences in art history, and I'll have a study guide and my book to figure out any information that I might miss today in class. It's all gravy.

Plus, I made myself breakfast, unfrantically (is that a word...and if so, how do you spell it?) finished my genetics lab quiz in the comfort of my living room floor, and since I have time to shower and try, I might actually look okay when I do get to class. All and all I'm happy with my decision. You know, I'm probably the only person on earth that rationalizes prior to skipping class. I doubt those people that never make it to genetics at 8:00 in the morning are lying in bed weighing the pros and cons each day. Why am I like that. I think it's the same quality that tells me that B's are dissappointing and C's are unacceptable. It might also be that same quality that forced me to scrub all the tea urns at work when I'm there, even though noone else EVER does (bc they just don't care). I just can't let the urns sit there and be gross while I serve gross tea to unsuspecting customers. Ah well, I suppose it's a good trait in the end, even though it does make me feel like I'm being used sometimes.

Well, last night was fun. Me and Becky are actually getting a little better at pool. Several of the shots were made by actual skill (but not all of them). Nikki (one of the new girls at work) also hung out with us. She said it was her first time to hang out in Auburn. I thought that was kinda sucky since she's been at work for about a month. You just don't realize sometimes that people might was to hang out and be your friend if you'd talk to them. Maybe that's why I'm so bad at making new friends. I'm usually not very open because I just assume that everyone has their own groups and noone wants new friends. There I go assuming again. I need to try to stop that. Nikki's a cool chick, though. Hopefully she had fun. Me and Becky were totally singing almost every song very loudly in the middle of a crowded pool hall. But you know how it is when Skynard is on. You just gotta sing. It was quite amusing. Oh, and bohemian rhapsody was pretty hilarious, too.

Well, I'm going to go get ready for class. Hopefully this will be a good, productive day...for everyone.
Laters!
